Straighten Your Smile
with Invisalign

Often, a crooked smile can leave you with functional issues and a lack of confidence, keeping you from showing your natural smile.

Traditionally, straightening one’s smile has always been done with steel braces, which can cause additional time at appointments, pain, and very visible mouth gear. However, Invisalign offers a discreet solution to straightening your smile.

What is Invisalign and What Does it Do?

Unlike traditional steel braces, which are highly visible, need frequent adjustments, and can cause pain and pressure points, Invisalign offers a different solution. Invisalign is a clear aligner that can be worn in the mouth, similar to braces, to provide a straighter smile over time. Invisalign can be custom-fit, and you and your dentist will tailor a schedule that best works for how often to wear and adjust your clear aligners.

At your first Invisalign appointment, you will likely discuss your specific smile straightening goals to ensure you are a good fit for Invisalign. If you are, your dentist will likely take x-rays and custom molds/impressions of your teeth. From there, your custom-fit aligners will be created. You and your dentist will discuss how many hours per day to wear them, when to take them out, and how often to come back to get an aligner size adjustment. Our practice is proud to offer Invisalign for both teens and adults.

The Benefits of Invisalign

Invisalign offers a variety of benefits and customizations when compared to traditional steel braces.

The benefits of Invisalign include:

  • Reduced Pain: With traditional braces, many people often over time develop pressure and pain points. Reasons for pressure and pain points can include wires poking out, bite pain and pressure from bands and wires, or broken brackets. Since Invisalign is made of custom-fit smooth plastic, you won’t experience the same pain and pressure points.
  • Discrete Wear and Custom Fit: While traditional braces are obvious, Invisalign is made of clear plastic that can be removed from the mouth whenever needed. If you have a special event or even for daily wear, your Invisalign aligners won’t stick out. Additionally, Invisalign comes with a custom fit, which means reduced fitting appointments, creating less pain and hassle.
  • Cleaner Teeth: Often, with traditional braces, you may have a list of foods you cannot eat and drinks you cannot enjoy. You may also struggle to floss, leaving risks of food and plaque buildup in the teeth and behind the braces hardware. Invisalign aligners can be removed when eating, allowing you to enjoy your favorite foods. They can also be cleaned as much as you like to allow for a cleaner mouth.
